Lupen, shooting stars and bluebells near Tok, Alaska

Arctic Lupen
 I took Monday off and we drove down to Tok. Here are some wildflower photos I took.

Arctic lupen (Lipinus Arcticus) found on gravel bars and in open areas, along roadsides throughout Alaska

Frigid Shooting Star

Western arctic or frigid shooting star (Dodecatheon frigidum) found in damp arctic-alpine meadows, open forest throughout most of Alaska except coastal areas and extreme arctic.

Alaska Tall Bluebell

 Alaska tall bluebell (Mertensia paniculata) found in open woods and along roadsides throughout Alaska except Aleutians, arctic coast, and Southeast.
